The Nook Brewhouse Oat Stout

THA’S nowt like stout embellishes the graphic on the front of my bottle of Oat Stout from The Nook Brewhouse. This 2013 SIBA regional winner definitely didn't get it’s award for nowt!

The Nook Brewhouse Oat Stout on show
It comes in at 5.2% volume and gives the drinker a cracking aroma. It’s colour is almost jet black with a deep ruby shine and you get the best out of it when chilled, a refreshing and full bodied stout. The flavours are strong but balanced and are wholly satisfying. Definitely worth getting a crate in.

They are available at The Nook’s website: www.thenookbrewhouse.co.uk

The Nook is a pub in the centre of Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. Holmfirth being the setting of the British sitcom Last of the Summer Wine, I’m sure Compo would have approved of a nice pint of this!

With Holmfirth’s grand Pennine water The Nook offers a range of ales such as their Rescue Red (of which they donate 10p of pint they sell to the Holme Valley MRT) and Yorks  which we will have to review in the future judging by the quality of this beverage.

The old fashioned Nook pub is undoubtedly worth a visit if in Holmfirth, found behind the restaurant Aldea.

Be sure to have a browse at the Nook’s website once again at: www.thenookbrewhouse.co.uk to view the full range and taster boxes on their online.

Cheers
